Commonground, the monthly worship service that combines the campus ministries was Tuesday night. The speaker was Linda from the BCM and she talked about Nehemiah. In giving examples leading up the her message she talked about how as kids we play with Legos. Some people embrace the toys as a means of showcasing their God given talent. I mean, as kids who would not want to be the best lego builder? I totally understood Linda's message but I felt a personal reflection that contrasts a little. When I was a kid, I had a lot of Legos. I remember not being the kid who could engineer the blocks into something extravagant...and given my major today I suppose not much has changed. In spite of my shortcomings in that department I feel like they were totally interrupted by all of the imagination I poured into those plastic blocks. I remember putting that little guy with the sunglasses and the yellow face in crazy situations. It was all about how extravagantly my mind could hurl his existance. And so weighing in what Linda had to say, I believe that as a lego kid I too was a creator. It's amazing how intricatley God has made us. We all have been made "good" and good has potential. God bless
